On completion of this course you will:

  • Understand the principles of making safeguarding personal
  • Understand what Safeguarding is, and your role in relation to safeguarding adults
  • Be able to recognise an adult at risk of abuse, and take action as appropriate to your role
  • Know who to report concerns to, and how to maintain confidentiality
  • Understand the importance of dignity and respect when working with individuals
  • Have knowledge of the legislation that supports adult safeguarding processes
