About this course

On completion of the course you will:

  • Understand the basic principles of food safety during preparation and handling of food
  • Feel confident in understanding the link between good health and wellbeing and a balanced nutrition and fluid intake
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of poor nutrition and hydration
  • Be able to promote and support individuals with adequate nutrition and hydration
